Fight for the Faith: A Prayer Journey Thru JudeSample

Day 21
As we near the end of the book of Jude, we find encouragement to stay the course no matter what: “Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life” (21).
This calls to mind the Lord’s letters to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3 and His challenge to the church of Ephesus. Jesus’ followers there had much for which to be commended, yet the following was true as well: “You have abandoned the love you had at first” (Revelation 2:4).
On this side of eternal life, may we steadfastly fight for the faith! May no one or nothing keep us from living in the love of Jesus and anticipating the mercy of “life after life” in His glorious presence!
Heavenly Father, I cannot do this without the Holy Spirit and the Holy Scriptures—living and active, vitally and vibrantly at work in my life. May I live it out and model the way for others to follow.

About this Plan

Jesus said that we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free (John 8:31-32). Yet our enemy, the devil, is bent on twisting God’s truth in his all-out efforts to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). The epistle of Jude exhorts us to contend for truth. Let’s pray through Jude, and be emboldened today to fight for the faith!
