READY
“But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.” - Jude 1:20-21 NLT
SET
Think back to the greatest team you’ve ever been a part of. What words would you use to describe that team? Passionate? Committed? Tight-knit? Those are certainly some of the words that come to my mind. Teams like that are special, not because of how well they perform, though they often end up performing well, but because of the way they pursue their goals: with one focus and one mind.
When you’re on a team like that, you feel grounded in your purpose. You feel supported by your fellow players. You feel secure in your performance because the value of the experience goes well beyond the outcome.
Now think about your team in Christ. Are you part of a team that’s pursuing God-given goals—to love God and love others—with the same unity of focus and unity of mind? It’s important to be part of a team of believers that are constantly building each other up with all that passion, commitment, and unity that makes a great team. It’s what God wants for His church, and it’s what allows us to stay safe and rooted in His love, able to push through any struggle that comes our way.
GO
- Are you part of a small group or another group of believers? How would you describe them as a team?
- Is your team in Christ one of the greatest teams you’ve ever been part of? If not, what would need to change?
- What can you do to build up your fellow believers?
WORKOUT
Philippians 2:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 5:11
OVERTIME
“Lord, thank You so much for my brothers and sisters in Christ, and thank You for the love that connects us so deeply. Please continue to fill me with Your love and also show me what it looks like to build them up and serve in the way that I would build up and serve any other team I’m a part of. I want to be there for them and have them be there for me when it’s needed the most.”

About this Plan
Where are you rooted? Without your sports, who are you? The closer we are to God and the deeper we build our roots in Him and His Word, and the closer we come to being 100%. While this new 100% identity does not come without challenge, God promises never to leave us or forsake us especially when times get tough.
