Jesus Over 2020Sample

If God.
Can 2020 be over? That’s what most of us ask. We hope that the ticking of the clock from 11:59 pm, 12/31/20 to 12:00 am, January 1, 2021, will reset everything! Well, not everything, but at least we could then put 2020 in our rear view.
To say 2020 started off on the wrong foot is an understatement. Wildfires. Murder hornets. Iowa Caucus chaos. Impeachment. Brexit. Kobe. Then it got worse. Pandemic. Stock market. Riots.
We don’t want it to start over, we want it to be over.
But wait a minute. Has God delivered the final verdict on 2020? Or is there an opportunity for redemption?
We know from Romans 8:31 ESV, “...If God is for us, then who can be against us?” And verse 35: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?” And in verse 37: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
What if God still has great plans for 2020? What if His plans were not for our destruction, but for our redemption?
If God is in the fight, we are never out of the fight. He always looks to make things new. We can always look with optimism towards the future.
Can He not use this year of global chaos to create eternal redemption?
If God,...then there is always hope for 2020 and beyond.
Questions:
Have you been hoping that 2020 will be over?
How can you live hoping God will restore 2020?
What do you believe can happen if God is for you?
