Philippians 1:12 NLT
And I want you to know…that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good news...
Paul had an amazing grace from God to see the big picture. He was never caught up in his current troubles. He always knew that God will ‘turn all things around for the good of those who love Him’ (Romans 8:28).
Here, Paul is encouraging the Philippian church that although He is in prison, the gospel is still going out everywhere. In fact, because of his imprisonment, even the whole palace guard came to know about Christ!
Philippians 1:14 NLT
...and because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear.
Instead of hiding in fear, somehow, the believers started boldly declaring the gospel! So Paul’s imprisonment, although inconvenient, was a win-win situation!
I believe as God is working on all our hearts in this lockdown, many will fall in love with Jesus again. The cold hearts will receive the fire from heaven again. The dead prayer lives will be revived again, and many will confidently reach out to others with the love of Jesus. Let's get ready because the world will be very broken, very open and very hungry soon!
Meditate:
* Romans 8:28 NLT
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.
Pray:
* Ask God to open your spiritual eyes to see the big picture of the good that God will bring out of this impossible situation.
* Decide to trust God even if you cannot see.
* Pray for your city to be open to the Good News.
