Our Story: Part OneSample
Isn't it amazing that the God who you read about in the Bible is the same God that you worship today? The same God who led the Israelites out of Egypt is the same God that you follow daily.
Although your journey of following God is a personal one, it is just as important to realize that you are a part of a vast community of people whose roots are found in the rich history of ancient Israel. Today, we are going to take a break from the normal reading schedule to introduce a video series from The Bible Project, which hopefully will help you feel connected to those roots.
Throughout the rest of this devotional, we will include one video per day from this series on "The Shema," an ancient centerpiece of Jewish prayer services which is similar to "The Lord's Prayer" in the Christian tradition. Over the next five days, let "The Shema" take you to a deeper level of obedience in your journey with the Lord.

About this Plan
As a Christian, it's easy to see your life as a journey towards finding God, but what if, instead, you saw your journey through life as the evidence of God's pursuit of you? When viewed this way, our stories all seem to be intricately woven together. During this reading plan, you will see how God gets the ultimate glory when you allow him to weave "your story" into "our story."
