God Is ThereSample
God is continually working on us. We can trust him and we can trust what he is doing in our lives. When we entrust our lives to Jesus, we answer to him first. At the same time, we need to be careful of the voices around us that we allow to speak into our lives. Not everyone will have the intentions for us that Jesus has for us. The Israelites, in Jeremiah chapter 29, found themselves facing a 70-year waiting period. In the midst of this prolonged waiting, they were surrounded by voices that were founded on discouragement. But when they turned to God, he pointed them to the hope of the future that he had in store for them. When we find ourselves in seasons that we did not anticipate, God uses these moments to increase us, not diminish us. As he works in us and refines us, we know that God will always correct us in love. He corrects us because he wants us to become the people that he has designed us to be. Know that God loves us in his correction – it’s not meant to harm us.
