Postures Of Advent: A Daily Christmas DevotionalSample

Surrender can be an abstract idea; so let's get practical.
Plan for a way to serve and be with your community in the coming weeks, following the example of Jesus.
Do something even if it is outside your comfort zone.
Perhaps there is an upcoming peaceful protest, rally, or vigil related to an important issue in your community that you can join.
Perhaps your church serves regularly with a ministry in your community, and you’ve been meaning to join.
Perhaps you can simply support a member of your community, who is struggling in this season in a practical way, with a meal, a visit, or a gift.
As you posture yourself to make practical acts of surrender, may God be glorified in and through you.

About this Plan

How we posture ourselves in the Christmas season makes all the difference in our experience of the miracle of the Advent. Be inspired to surrender to Jesus, refocus on Him, and embrace the grace of our King in this 4-week daily devotional as you move through five different postures: Eyes Fixed, Head Up, Knees Bent, Hands Open, and Arms Wide.
