River Valley Church SOAP - Part 11Sample

These chapters begin with the sending of Paul and Barnabas, whom God had called into missionary service. As Acts illustrates how quickly the good news about forgiveness and eternal life through faith in Jesus spread past the Jewish believers to the Gentiles (people of other nations who were not Jewish), this sending is very fitting! With these passages begins the great Christian missionary movement that Christ commands us to fulfil to this day. Paul’s first missionary journey continues, as they travel to cities like Cyrus, Pisidia Iconium and Lystra. But we read that these journeys are not without hardship and tribulation. This is true for us today. However, we can be sure in the hardship and tribulation, God is with us.
