 GIFTS FOR HIS GLORY 

Each one of us is made uniquely different.  We have been crafted and specifically designed by our Creator to be used for His glory and to build His kingdom.  Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”  We possess talents and gifts that the Lord wants us to use for the advancement of His kingdom. 

What do you enjoy doing? What are you good at? Can you take a bucket of rusted bolts and turn it into a functioning car? Maybe a blank canvas is your next masterpiece in the making.  Perhaps you are a craftsman who takes joy in building something beautiful.  Whatever you are skilled at, or are gifted in, or enjoy doing—these are tools that can be used to help others and to minister to those in need.    

1 Peter 4:10 tells us “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

Maybe you aren’t sure of what you are good at, or you think your gifts are too insignificant to make a difference.  No talent, no gift, no effort, when given for the purpose of the Lord and unto His glory, is too small.  He can use everything for the benefit of others.  Even a smile and a kind word can be used by the Lord to make a difference in someone else’s life.

Pray and ask the Lord to show you what He has given to you and how you can use it to love and help others.  Be looking for opportunities to use your gifts to help others.  Your simple act of kindness could be an open door to conversations about Jesus.  Be obedient to respond as the Holy Spirit prompts you to serve and seize the moments with a joyful heart.
