Jesus Over ResultsSample

Waiting crushes all of us. If you try and go out to eat on Friday or Saturday night, you will have to wait to get seated. Do you remember when you were a child and December seemed to last forever because you had to wait for Christmas? Have you ever had to wait for the results of a lab test that determines if you or a loved one has cancer? Excruciating. The ER waiting room. Waiting tables. Waiting for your newborn son to arrive. 

Waiting for the results of anything can be tough.

Put yourself in the disciple’s shoes. They had lived with Jesus for three years. They experienced his love and his grace. They saw their leader die on the cross. They were left alone. Scattered. Confused. Hope lost. Waiting. Was this really the result? Death? Didn’t Jesus tell them that he would conquer death? 

The wait had to be painful. One day turned into several days, and then the results came in. Jesus is alive! Jesus did what he said he would do. 

Trust Jesus today. Trust his words. Trust his life. Trust him with your life. Jesus will prevail. He will come through. You can trust him with the results he has promised.
