Last WordsSample
Darkness Before The Dawn
The sun stopped shining; the temple curtain was torn from top to bottom. Darkness moved in; it couldn’t get any worse. The sins of humanity from distant past to undetermined future rested heavily on Jesus’ shoulders. Yet in his last obedient breath, Jesus voices out a prayer and a gift – choosing to hand over, in confidence, his life’s spirit to the Father. This marked THE watershed juncture of history … an event that affects anyone who believes!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Son to die for my sins; to take my guilt and shame on himself in my place. Words can’t begin to express my gratitude for your unimaginable love. Even as we contemplate the darkness of Calvary, we know the bright power of the resurrection is only a couple days away! Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
