Righteousness—God’s righteousness was expressed in what Jesus did for us on the cross. Afterwards, God’s power raised him from the dead. That same power lives in us! We need to remind ourselves that his power and his righteousness actively work in our lives. God is our covering; He goes before us and he protects us.  

He is all that we need, but it doesn’t stop there! God makes us righteous when we place our faith in the person of Jesus. That means we’re no longer guilty or separated from God. We can approach him in confidence, knowing that we have been made right in his sight. When he sees us, he loves us, and he adopts us into his family.
