A Jolt of JoySample

When we think about the cross of Calvary, we know that Jesus died to forgive us of our sins. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Jesus died for every wrong choice that we would ever make. We humbly accept the fact that the cross was necessary for us to be forgiven and to live eternally with God. If that was the only work of the Calvary, that would have been enough. It would have been more than enough! Eternity with forgiveness thrown in is the greatest gift ever given in the course of human history. However, Calvary did much more than that. Jesus went to the cross so that you would no longer be held a victim of depression and sorrow. Jesus died so that you could experience His joy while living in the midst of the war zone that is planet earth. When Jesus was hanging on the cross, He hung there not only for your salvation but also for your joy. If I were you, I would not settle for anything less than joy! You owe it to yourself ... to your family ... to your neighborhood ... to your church ... and to Jesus to walk in the joy that He died to give you!
