Devotional: YOUR HOME
What comes to mind when you think of the word “home”? Is it a particular house or a structure, a place or a city, a group of people, a bunch of memories, or your church community?
God promises us peaceful dwelling places, secure homes, and undisturbed places of rest. Home doesn’t always have to be a physical place. It is where you feel most safe and rested. It is where you can be yourself without fear of being judged or rejected. It is where you can experience freedom and acceptance.
Today, take time to think about what you’d define as home at this point of time in your life and thank God for the security, rest, and comfort that comes from it.
Journaling Prompt: TENT
Today’s prompt for your creative journaling is the word ‘tent.’ Tents are shelters that can move and change and are versatile. Perhaps your definition of home is something that has changed and evolved.
As you artistically express yourself today, thank God for ‘your home’!

About this Plan

While preparing for the holidays at the end of each year, it is easy to forget to practice gratitude intentionally. Grab your journal, color pencils, paints, art and craft supplies, or maybe even just a pen and a paper; and begin a meaningful 24-day journey this Advent of practicing gratitude through creative journaling. You can also ask a group of friends to join your gratitude journaling journey!
