Paul, in his letters, has more than once mandated prayer for those in governing positions and places of authority.
No matter what our political stance is, praying for our God-appointed governing authorities and thanking Him for them is something we must all do.
Today, take a few minutes to think about the leaders that govern your city and your nation. Put aside your personal feelings and thank God for their lives. Pray for God’s protection, wisdom, and direction over their lives.
Journaling Prompt: LIGHTHOUSE
The purpose of a lighthouse is to guide and direct. Today, as you creatively express this prompt, actively thank God for your governing authorities who are meant to be like lighthouses in society. Pray that they will stand up for righteousness and truth.
