Christmas in 3 ActsSample

Christmas in 3 Acts

DAY 20 OF 21

Experience
There may well be people and places for whom you have almost "given up" praying. Your prayers and actions seem to bear little or no fruit. If you have the chance today just allow the Holy Spirit to drop a name or situation into your mind. Find a way of renewing your strength to pray for that person or that place again. Perhaps the Holy Spirit wants you to push on again, or indeed encourage you about the “fruit that you have missed or don’t really see”.

Practice
Key Rosary

Many Christians and people of other faiths have used beads as a trigger and reminder for prayer. Many of us carry something that can be used as a trigger for prayer—our set of keys.

Presumably, you will have keys on there for your house, car, bike lock, office, etc. As you travel around over the next few days why don’t you thumb through the keys as you are waiting? Pray for people and places that are accessed by those keys.

Pray that they may encounter the presence of Jesus this Advent.

Question
Who is Jesus calling you to love at the moment?

Prayer
I choose to embrace Jesus’ love for myself and my neighbors, both near and far.

About this Plan

Christmas in 3 Acts

In this Advent Infinitum Series, we will be using the themes of Tragedy, Comedy and Fairytale. They will act as doorways into a deeper understanding of surrender, generosity, and mission. Each theme lasts 7 days. The first day will be an introduction. Days 2 to 6 will give you a reading, an experience, a practice, a question, and a prayer. Day 7 is Sabbath, consolidation, review, and recollection.
