We Are Image-Bearers
Reflection:
We are made in the image of God and we ought to reflect him with our lives, as a child often reflects the characteristics of the parents. Some inherited and others through learned behaviour.
I believe God is pleased when we live our lives honouring him, reflecting Kingdom values and ultimately being more like Jesus. Similarly to how I’m proud when my daughter reflects back the good traits, manners, and values I am trying my best to model and instill into her.
Question:
As image-bearers, what image are we reflecting to the world? Does it look like Jesus?
Prayer:
Our Father, help me to be an image-bearer that shines your light to the world. Help me become more like Jesus and live in a way that is honouring you, according to your will. Amen.
