"His Freedom"

A good dad would never leave their child to go through life without equipping them with valuable advice. We have a loving father in Jesus and it would break His heart to see us trapped, terrified, and struggling to deal with the pressures the world throws at us. He wants us to know true freedom and He tells us through the Bible how we can achieve this. I don’t know about you, but I’ve turned to many things in my life with the hope of finding freedom, only to be let down and left disappointed. I’ve driven nice cars, earned quite a lot of money, and been involved in what seemed like exciting and thrilling relationships. 

All these things satisfied me for a while but eventually I realised that they couldn’t provide me with the freedom I desired. When I started to really pursue Jesus, I began to grow in love, joy, peace, kindness, self-control and more. This gave me a fulfilling and liberating freedom that I hadn’t experienced before. True freedom can only be found in the one that set us free.

Prayer: Jesus thank you that because of the blood you shed on the cross, you set me free. Provide me with the wisdom I need to make the most of this precious gift. Give me the strength I need to stop running after what I think will satisfy me, but to pursue you and all the amazing things you have given me access to. I pray that I can grow more and more in the gifts of the spirit so I can experience your freedom. Thank you that, who you set free, is free indeed. Amen.
