Trust Issues

In our lives, there’s at least one person who has broken our trust by doing something that hurt us or caused them not to appear trustworthy. For this reason, you may feel as though there is no reason to trust anyone anymore, which is understandable. Many of us struggle to trust God in our relationship with Him, but God has never betrayed our trust and he won’t start now. A lack of trust in God is a lack of faith. 

If we truly call God our father then we should believe with our whole hearts that he is more than able to do exceedingly abundantly and above all – meaning nothing is impossible for him. 

‘For the rest of my days,

 I will trust in you’

When I wrote these lyrics, I was having a difficult time trusting God, because I couldn’t see any results in my life (John 16:33).

If you’re having trust issues right now, God is looking down on you and he says: “my daughter, my son, I wish you knew what I had in store for you. I wish you knew what I was working on, behind closed doors for you”. 

When it feels like nothing is happening just know that he has great plans for you and he will never leave you, ever. Many of us are secretly control freaks and want to plan everything that happens in our lives, but the truth is, God is truly in control. 

When I was writing the chorus for the song, I was reminding myself that God makes all the decisions in my life. I am here to let you know that when you let God drive your life, you will never crash (Isaiah 14:24).

I’ll let you be God’ 

God sees our every need. He knows where you’re lacking and when you need him most. Today, begin to trust in Him, whatever the situation looks like (Proverbs 3:5).

Prayer: Lord, I submit every plan I have to you and I trust that you will make them happen according to your will for my life.
