Walk with God
Being a Christian is a dynamic lifestyle that constantly changes from moment to moment. Dozens of times over the years, I’ve felt the tug of conviction from a rousing sermon or an unexpected event that led me to recommit my life to Jesus, so that I began to turn all my pain over to Him in batches. But crossing over to a new level of my faith has only occurred after stepping out of my spiritual comfort zone.
Your attitude defines your walk with God. He's a jealous God, one who wants to come first because He knows we can only serve one master at a time. Will that be Jesus...or money? Faith...or fear? If how you feel about the Lord is lacking in any way, you do yourself more harm than good in how you serve. Your faith is personal, and should always have meaning. If you aren't inspired to serve, then it will rub off on anyone else you try to help, too.
Painful moments may have robbed you of the ability to move forward, but they don't have to last. In fact, they won't last. In the grand scheme of things, everything is temporary. People die. Possessions break. Even our thoughts, though strong, do fade. Yet, time - God's time - marches on in a constant, purposeful manner. He sees all and controls all, and also covers our mistakes from the past so you can live anew each day. But in order to trust Him to do that, you have to change your attitude so you don't stay stuck in the same place (both in mind and the body) you've allowed yourself to dwell. The best choice you can make for your day is to start with the Word of God so you can be directed to keep moving.
