Advent: The Hope of ChristmasSample
Mary's Worship
When we talk about the Deaf community and worship, we seem to view it as a disconnect. But that is not true. As a Christian, worship is essential to who we are, and how He created us. Worship puts the focus onto God.
For Mary, during her visit with Elizabeth she could have spoken about a lot of things. Instead, she chose to focus on worship. She recognized that the child that she was going to have would be the One that would bring salvation to her and many more. That through her, what her ancestors, and those before, waited so long for would be fulfilled.
Before we get caught up in holiday to-do lists or thoughts of what Christmas should look like, I encourage you to remember the importance of Christmas, which is Jesus. May I implore you to take time to worship and remember what Christ’s birth brought. Salvation. Life.
Personal Challenge: I challenge you to take ten minutes to shout praises and worship to the Savior who has given you life and purpose. I challenge you to bring your family together whether in person or via Zoom to remember all that He has done for you through this year.
