Pushing With Perseverance to Purpose Sample

God’s General Purpose for Your Life
Have you ever asked yourself, “What does God want with our lives?” Not specifically, but generally. He could have created us to automatically love and worship Him for literally an eternity. So what is our purpose?
In the Gospels we read about an expert of the law that asks Jesus, “Which of the commandments is the greatest?” (Matthew 22:36)
Jesus replies “ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. (Matthew 22:37-38)
Before we figure out how to push towards our specific purpose, we have to understand our general purpose.
First Thessalonians 5 teaches all of us our purpose is to love God.
But how do we practically do that?
1.) We rejoice always
2.) Pray continually
3.) Give thanks in all circumstances
Focus:
Today I want you to write down one way that you can rejoice, one way that you can pray, and one way that you can give thanks daily.
