Love God Greatly - EcclesiastesSample

SOAP – Ecclesiastes 3:16-17; Solomon states that on earth he witnessed wickedness and righteousness, but God inevitably will judge the wicked and the righteous. Solomon, in his despair, reasons that we are no different from animals, because both animals and humans die. However, mankind was created in the image of God. Mankind was given dominion over all creatures. Most importantly, Jesus died for mankind’s sin and salvation.
Although humans may act like animals at times, we are very special and preferred by God. We will all be judged when Jesus returns and only one choice will determine whether we will be found wicked or righteous. We will be judged as either sinners who rejected God or as sinners saved by the grace of God through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Who we are and the way we choose to live is very important to God.

About this Plan

In this eight-week Online Ecclesiastes Bible Study at Love God Greatly, our questions regarding the meaning of life will lead us to Solomon’s wise conclusion: that in order for one to find meaning, purpose, and satisfaction in life, he or she must know God. To know the Lord, to love Him, fear Him, follow Him, and find our identity in Him is what frees us to enjoy the temporal gifts in this life and to look beyond those gifts to life everlasting.
