Welcome to our Daily Devotional for our new series This Is Us. During this series we are going to journey through our Freedom Church DNA.  Some of you may know that DNA is like the secret code inside you—the thing that makes you, well, you!  You may also know that God created us in His image and wants us to live our best life!

This week we are looking at our Freedom DNA Everything’s a Gift & Warrior Poets. 

Everything’s a Gift

We intentionally celebrate and give thanks. We shake off complacency and entitlement to overflow with gratitude for God, our lives, and one another.  Practicing thankfulness gives us a joy that will sustain us. 

Warrior Poets

We reflect the creator by embracing and expressing creativity. The color of our lives becoming a revolt against the mundane and ordinary. We communicate the Gospel with the life and vibrancy in which it was intended. 

READ:

"The Last Supper" in the Beginners Bible (pages 442-445) or in Matthew 26, Mark 14, Luke 22, and John 13.

Jesus gave us the most amazing gift. He gave us His life so that we could live a full and exciting life, full of hope with Him forever.  Everything’s a Gift! 

We are made in the image of God, creator of the universe!  We have creativity in us and can use this to show others His love.  We are Warrior Poets!

So God created human beings in his image. In the image of God he created them. He created them male and female (Genesis 1:27).

SAY:

God created me, 

Magnificent you can see. 

Every cell and part, 

Were designed in His heart. 

From the beginning of creation,

Every clan, tribe, and nation. 

Made in His image, 

With purpose, love, and to encourage. 

Whatever come what may, 

This is my DNA!
