Life IS... Facing Your Fears

Fear is a mindset that the enemy uses to paralyze you and stop you from seeing and walking in the things of God.  As believers, we should not entertain fear because "God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind." (II Timothy 1:7)

Not facing your fears could cause you to miss the destiny and purpose God has for you. 

In 2000, I remember meeting Bernice A. King, the daughter of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King.  Bernice asked me if I was interested in the position of Vice-President for the management company that represents her. At the time I felt I was not qualified for the position, but she saw something in me that I didn't see in myself.  

In the beginning, the road was very bumpy because there were times the position required me to do things for which I had no previous experience, like contract negotiations, endorsements, and managing intellectual property rights.  Determined to face my fears, I overcame the challenges and embraced the position.

Until we choose to believe God's truth about us, we will continue to be gripped by FEAR and trapped in the matrix of life.  

The TRUTH is greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

The TRUTH is you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. (Philippians 4:13)

We have the God-given authority over fear! Shut the devil down and don't allow him to rent space in your mind. Find your TRUTH and embrace it.

Prayer:

Father, I have allowed fear to delay some things in my life.  As I begin to unpack those feelings and face my fears, thank You for reminding me through Your Word that you are there with me and I will take authority over fear.
