Why God's Way Takes LongerSample

Trees Yield More Fruit
Every year I get excited about the tomatoes that my plants will produce over the summer, but even the best tomato plant would be lucky to produce 40 lbs of tomatoes in a season.
On the other hand, mature apple trees can produce over 1,000 lbs in a season.
The downside is that trees don’t bear fruit three months after planting as many tomato plants will. Some trees will take a few years or even longer to yield just one piece of fruit.
Patience seems to be a rare virtue in our world these days, but it is one that we ought to develop. God seems to like taking the long road with many turns, and one of the reasons is that the long road tends to yield a lot more fruit.

About this Plan

The world’s way often goes faster than doing something God’s way. While this can be discouraging at first glance, once you understand the benefits of God’s way taking longer, you can begin truly enjoying the longer path that God has for you.
