Daily Bible Reading–March 2021 God's Word of PrayerSample
March 24
Introduction
Today's reading is the first part of the conclusion to the book of Daniel and Daniel’s final vision. The opening verses (2, 3) describe how Daniel has spent three weeks in mourning, abstaining from rich food, meat, and wine. An angel delivers a message to Daniel about future events and reminds him that he is loved by God.
Today’s Scripture Reading
Daniel 10:1—11:1
Today’s Key Verse: Daniel 10:19
[The angel said:] “God loves you, so don’t let anything worry you or frighten you.”
Reflect
Reread verses 4-6. What is the vision that Daniel saw? (You may wish to compare this vision with the one described in Revelation 1:12-16). What message was Daniel given? How did he react? What did the angel say to encourage him?
Pray
Holy God, whenever my faith is weak, remind me of your love for me. Keep me strong in faith, having a willing heart to serve you and encourage others with the message of your steadfast love and care. Amen.
Prayer Concern
Those who need to be assured of God’s love
Tomorrow’s Reading
Habakkuk 1:1-17: The prophet Habakkuk complains to the LORD about injustice.
