Reset After Easter: A YouVersion Rest Plan for PastorsSample

Rest.
You worked so hard to prepare for this past Easter weekend.
Probably for weeks.
Take a few moments and consider the energy you invested …
… The plans you made …
… The tasks you saw through to completion.
(Pause here for a few moments if you need to.)
Many things probably went just as you expected.
And, hopefully, you were blessed with some pleasant surprises along the way.
But the odds are good that at least a few things did not go according to plan.
Now, consider these things:
Nothing that happened in the past several weeks took God by surprise.
You know that it is His plan to redeem everything, over time.
You know that everything you experience shapes the person you will become.
You know that you love God.
You know that you are called according to His purpose.
So then you also know that He is working out all things for your good.
Even in seasons when it may be hard to see.
Perhaps especially then.
Today, take a deep breath.
Rest in His promises.
Enter into the rest that He intends for you…
The rest that He Himself modeled for you.
About this Plan

Because attendance typically surges on the Sunday that Christians celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection, Easter weekend represents one of the most rewarding — and challenging — times of the year for church leaders. We created this audio YouVersion Rest Plan to help church staff celebrate all that God did, rest from the work that went into preparing and executing, and reset for the ministry still to come.
