Developing Deeper Intimacy With GodSample
“You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant who I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me, there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.” Isaiah 43:10 KJV
God Desires Intimacy: In an intimate relationship, each person knows the other fully and is fully known in return. We are fully known by God (Psalm 139:1-4) and He has expressed through His Word that He desires for us to know Him fully (Isaiah 43:10).
There are many complexities to developing intimacy. When we are broken, have mistrust, or shame, it can hinder us from drawing closer to those we love. The same factors may hinder us from drawing closer to our God.
Question: Have you sought to know God as fully as He knows you? What are the obstacles between you and God?
Challenge: Meditate on Psalm 139:1-4 and 1 Corinthians 13:12 (NIV).
About this Plan
Our God desires intimacy with His greatest creation - humankind. He knows us fully and desires for us to know Him and believe Him. Some obstacles may deter us from drawing closer to our God. This five-day devotional will help us to identify and eliminate the barriers to developing deeper intimacy with our Heavenly Father.
