In ChargeSample

Sometimes, the authority figures in our lives can cause confusion. They’re in charge, but they may not actually show us what good authority acts like. When this happens, we can come back to this verse and remember that Jesus is the ultimate authority. He’s the perfect example of what an authority figure should be! So when we’re not sure what to do or how to handle a situation with an authority figure, we can remember this verse. It can comfort us and give us clarity on what a good authority figure looks like—and that’s Jesus! That’s why having this verse memorized and ready in our minds can be so helpful!
Write this verse down in a place you’ll see it this week. Each time you walk by and notice it, stop to read it. The more you do, the more you’ll begin to be able to recite it from memory and have it there for you when you need it.
