Would you use the word “peaceful” to describe the current state of the world? No chance! It’s obvious that we could all use a little more peace, isn’t it? We live in a time where anxiety, depression, and stress run rampant. Honestly though, it kind of makes sense why this is happening. We have constant access to tragic news, bitter debates, and distracting content. This 24/7 stream of information is often more than our minds can handle. We need something or Someone to bring us peace. Thankfully, this is what Jesus promised. When He could have promised power, money, and influence (things that seem like they would have been clutch nowadays), instead He made peace the priority. It’s almost like He knows us better than we know ourselves. In our modern world, peace sounds SO appealing.
Today, take a few minutes to pray and ask God for peace. Then, be open to the fact that He may provide peace in ways that are different than you may be able to think of on your own.

About this Plan

Life is full of change. Whether it be good like making the team, bad like parent’s divorce, or complicated like switching schools. Change can make us ask “Am I strong enough to face this?” or “Why do I have to go through this?” These devotionals will challenge you to rethink how you view change, and we’ll explore how God’s commitment to us doesn’t change, even if everything else does.
