There is nothing more important to the effectiveness of your Christian life than prayer. Everything within us wants to follow our own selfish ambitions and the lure of this world. But prayer is what keeps us centered and focused on God. Prayer is an act of obedience and dedication to the Lord. Prayer is what drowns out the noise and confusion of the world. Prayer is our lifeline or our communication with God.
Communication is the basis of life. Whenever there’s healthy communication there is a healthy relationship, but when there’s no communication you have a broken relationship.
We need to be reminded that communication is always the key to any healthy relationship. What an incredible privilege we have been given to communicate with the God of the universe. And yet until we realize how desperately we need him, we won’t pray. The greatest tragedy in life is the prayers that go unanswered because they go unasked.
Prayer:
Lord, I want my relationship with you to be strong and healthy. Thank you for loving me and for giving me a way to communicate with you. Amen.
