When God Speaks: What to ExpectSample
When God Speaks: What To Expect II
What should you expect when God speaks to you? Firstly, as you are led by God’s Spirit, All Your Needs Will Be Met. Secondly, as you are led by God’s Spirit, Your Placement Will Be Strategic. God will put you in some very nice places. Psalm 23:2 “He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters” (NRSV). As you walk with God and as you hear God, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, your placement will be strategic. Thirdly, as you are led by God’s Spirit, You Will Live A Righteous Life. To live a righteous life means to make right decisions, to take the right steps, to make the right call. Psalm 23:3 “He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honour to his name.” Why will God guide you along the right path? So that His Name will be glorified. God has vested interest in your life. It is in His interest that you walk in the right path, and so it is in His interest to guide you. Guidance will never be a struggle in your life in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Fourthly, as you are led by God’s Spirit Fear Will Be Far Away From You. Verse 4 says even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me; your rod and your staff - they protect and comfort me. When God is near, we lose our fears. If you find out that you are afraid, check how close you are to your shepherd. When you consider what the future has in store for you, if you feel afraid, then check your walk with God to determine how close you are to your shepherd. And it is simply because our fears disappear when God is near. God’s presence is our protection. Psalm 11:1 “I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me, “Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!”
Shepherd of my soul I give You full control; Wherever You may lead I will follow. I have made the choice to listen for Your voice; Wherever You may lead I will go. Be it in a quiet pasture or by a gentle breeze; The shepherd of my soul is by my side. Should I face a mighty mountain or a valley dark and deep; The shepherd of my soul will be my guide.
About this Plan
