PRAY4JAPAN - 17 Day Prayer Guide for JapanSample
Passion and Joy in the Church
There are approximately 8,000 protestant churches in Japan and the average church size is less than 30 people. For many, the congregation is aging and many churches face closing down in the coming decades.
Let's agree for passion and joy to revive Japanese believers, and for them to enter into a deep, intimate community with one another.
WORSHIP - The Lord rejoices over us as we rejoice in Him!
The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)
Lord, we rejoice in You even as we see You rejoicing over us. We thank You that You delight in us, and rejoice over us with singing.
DECLARE - You shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace.
For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12 (NKJV)
Father, we declare that Japanese believers will go out in Your joy and be led forth in Your peace.
PRAY - May uncontainable joy and perfect peace overflow believers.
Now may God, the fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! Romans 15:13 (TPT)
Father, God of hope, may You fill Japanese believers with all joy and peace as they trust in You. May they overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
About this Plan
Japan is the world’s second largest unreached people group even after decades of dedicated evangelism and church presence. In this highly sophisticated society most Japanese see Christianity as nice but irrelevant. Church attendance hovers around 0.3%. Let’s agree with the Word of God as we worship, declare and pray for breakthrough in this beautiful nation.
