Nehemiah wept, mourned for days, and continued to fast and pray before the God of heaven. Nehemiah’s burden was a big deal. He didn’t just whisper a prayer to God and then move in his own strength. For days he prayed. For days he fasted. For days we wept before God. Nehemiah prayed night and day. He even confessed his sin to God.
When is the last time you spent days praying for a burden? How often do we dismiss burdens and convictions in our lives? Have you ever wept before God? Spend time today committing to pray throughout the day and night. Find a place and a time that you can pour out your heart to Jesus, believing he will show up and give you direction.
