Faith in You Sample
God Is Still There
Several years ago, I was sitting in my car, and I started singing out of nowhere. I had never written a song nor did I think I would ever write a song. The experience was quite emotional; the lyrics were the answer to what I was struggling with. I had felt alone and as if God were not present. He gave me these words to sing as an answer to my prayers. He wanted me to know that regardless of what I felt, our faith remained in Him and I could live a life that would glorify Him.
There are seasons when we may not feel God, but He is there. God is not a feeling. Faith is necessary to trust that He is present in the midst of our situation. We trust God through this journey that He will come through and that when we are weary, we look to Him for strength.
Though our faith can be shaken by unanswered prayers, He is still faithful. His faithfulness has nothing to do with what you did. It is based on who He is, on His character. We all walk through dark valleys, but God who is unchanging. He is constant. The Holy Spirit is there to guide you through each season. The Word of God is a light to your path. Trust that you have everything you need to walk through these seasons.
God is sovereign, regardless of our circumstances. This is an understanding we need to grasp. Not only is He sovereign, but He is love. His love stays the same. He loves you so much! He is working everything for your good; you may not see or feel it at the moment, but He is working towards a purpose (Romans 8:28).
Many times, we look for spiritual goosebumps to feel God is with us. The problem with this is that you will constantly be looking for the next spiritual experience. Do not fix your eyes on experiences. Get your eyes on the person of Jesus Christ. He is Emmanuel, God with us. He has not forsaken you. He is right there with you.
Can you have faith in God even if you do not feel Him today? Take a minute to think of those moments where God showed up. He has provided, comforted, and loved you when you most needed Him. He has been faithful in the past. Trust that He will remain faithful in your future. When everything else changes, He does not. He has never left you. Surrender your life and place your faith in Him. God is the solid rock on which we stand.
