Walking With Jesus (Wisdom)Sample

Time keeps running
What do we pay most attention to when we take a taxi? We may have the same answer: we will pay attention to the taxi meter (a device that shows the taxi fare). We watch the taxi meter to find out how much fare we have to pay. The course of the meter depends on the distance and time. The farther the distance, the higher the cost. The longer the time, the more expensive it will be.
We are also anxious about the high cost of taxi fare when the road is congested, and the destination is still far away. That's when we value time and opportunity. Time is very precious that it can't be ignored by us. A second becomes very important because it refers to how much money we have to spend.
However, whether we realize it or not, there are times when we don't care about time. We do completely unproductive activities. We miss good opportunities to work, be creative, and even grow spiritually for various excuses, such as tiredness, laziness, busyness, and so on. Time is an extraordinary gift, which can or can not be used once. We can't repeat time forever. Many people are disappointed and sorry for neglecting the time. Many goals are not achieved because people have wasted their time.
Always remember that the meter is running. Time is ticking. There is a risk of both wasting time and taking advantage of it. If we ignore it, then we will never be able to realize our goals. That is, of course, the saddest consequence. Similarly, using the time to achieve goals means that we must pay a high price. We need to fight, but this fight will tire us. However, every second we spend ensures that we will get to our destination sooner.
Reflection:
1. How do you use your time? Do you care about your time and purpose in life?
2. Regarding the use of time, what do you regret the most in your life?
Application:
In a day, 24 hours, try to calculate the time you have wasted and the time you have made the most of it.

About this Plan

Having wisdom is everyone's goal. Wisdom is not just talking about intelligence or having above-average knowledge. Wisdom is "God's mindset" that can be understood by us. It can also help us consider and decide our steps so that they are aligned with God's will. Through this "Walking with Jesus" devotional series, we will learn how to become believers who are growing in wisdom every day through the word of God.
