Walking With Jesus (Overcoming Stagnation)Sample
Doing it with all of your strength
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.”
Ecclesiastes 9:10
The chickens in the village have already tried to find food when the dawn comes. The birds fly in search of grain. The bees flap their wings in search of blooming flowers. These God's created creatures work hard for their lives. Yes, instinctively, God gave them a passion for work. Through inspiration from nature and the Bible, we are challenged to work with all of our might to show our sincerity to do what God has entrusted to us.
Life has a purpose. The purpose of our life is to please and glorify the Lord. This is what we want to achieve through our work. We need to be aware of our strengths and weaknesses. We must continue maintaining our strengths and improving our weaknesses. God strengthens us to do so. We need to do our works with passion.
Let us also focus on important things. Working is not just for a bite of rice or a handful of diamonds. Our daily works will shape our characters. God wants to have persistence, integrity, patience, love, sincerity, purity, and so on through our work. That's more important than any material things we can get. Our work teaches us life lessons about managing our talents, time, and money that God has given us through our efforts. We can serve God by doing the best work we can do.
Viewing work as a ministry will make us enthusiastic in doing it because we are motivated with a divine zeal to glorify the Lord. Let us begin in God's will, do our best, and finish it by God's power and grace.
Reflection:
1. What is your job? How do you view what you are doing? Boring? Tiring? Fun?
2. How has your job shaped you now?
Application:
Try to do your work with all your heart and strength today. Reflect on your spiritual experiences at the end of the day.

About this Plan
Stagnation is something that will hinder the pace of spiritual maturity. If believers do not rise to overcome it soon, the enemy will use stagnation to "kill" their spirituality sooner or later. Through this "Walking with Jesus" devotional series, we will discover what the Bible teaches to rise and grow.
