Man Up! Sample
NO FEAR OF MAN
The climax of Esther's story occurs when she encounters her enemy face to face. She did not expect her husband to shield her from the wicked Haman. She looked him in the eye when she took her stand. "Esther replied, 'This wicked Haman is our adversary and our enemy.' Haman grew pale with fright before the king and queen." (Esther 7:6, NLT). Esther knew that she was no less than any other human being.
People who man up do not entertain thoughts of inferiority. They know that God is on their side. "The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?" (Psalms 118:6, NLT").
Who is against you now? Perhaps someone is abusing a position of power over you. Or there may be someone who has the power to destroy your life if you go against their wishes. It may look like that, but they don't. God is in control. "You are the one who gives us victory over our enemies; you disgrace those who hate us" (Psalms 44:7, NLT).
Children of God have no reason to be afraid of people. God will not allow any weapons to prosper against you. "But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord" (Isaiah 54:17, NLT). Man up!
