Where Has My Prayer Life Gone? #Justtake5Sample

Day 4 – Minute 2 – Repentance
Trying to get a prayer through with unconfessed sin is like pouring liquid in a cup with a hole in it. It just falls to the ground. One of the greatest hindrances to a fruitful prayer life is sin!
In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus is teaching His disciples how to pray. After Jesus acknowledges who God is, He teaches them the importance of repentance saying to ask God to forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. If Jesus who was blameless approached the throne in humility, how much more should we approach the Father in this way, being full of sin. We should never think too highly of ourselves, regardless of how far God has brought us, we must remain humble.
When we come before God with sincere repentance, we experience the freedom of communing with our Father.
Take a moment and think about where you are in life right now. If you have any unconfessed sin, I want you to take a moment and take #JustFive! Praying a prayer of repentance or consecration is necessary in every believer’s life.
It feels so much better when you pray with freedom. A hindered prayer is a wasted prayer, and we don’t have time to waste prayers!
