[Revelation] The Comeback: White Horse ReturnSample
A Sharp Sword in His Mouth
Revelation 19:19 portrays the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the Rider on the horse and His army. We also see that the beast is captured after having deceived those who received his mark and worshipped him. All those waging war against the Rider on the white horse are killed with the sword coming out of the Rider’s mouth. What a depiction! It is full of action, violence, and blood, nothing short of a Hollywood movie. However, this representation is not fictional; it is the very Word of God. We know that “not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear” until every word of Scripture is fulfilled. On whose side do you want to be? Will you choose to be behind the Rider on the white horse, or on the side of the nations and the beast?
We find in James 4:4 that “anyone who chooses to be a friend of this world becomes an enemy of God.” What a strong word! But it is a word that exhorts us to take the right side, the side of God, and certainly not the side of the nations of the world. We do have, however, a strong comfort when we are told, in 1 John 4:4, that He who is in us is “greater than the one who is in the world.” The mighty one of Israel is in our midst! He has vowed to strengthen us, help us, and uphold us with his righteous right hand. When Isaiah wrote this promise in chapter 41:10, he was led to use the phrase "his righteous right hand.” God upholds his people in truth and in justice. It is because of His integrity that we are sustained. God can certainly sustain us with His power, but He chooses to do so because of His righteousness. This word speaks of truth, honesty. and integrity, and it calls us to be true to our Lord.
We must remain faithful and true to our Lord until the very end. We need to choose the narrow path which leads to heaven, and stay away from the wide gate of complacency and the broad way of leniency that lead to destruction.
Our Lord Jesus has given us His Word for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, so that we may correct our course and remain on the narrow path.
About this Plan
The book of Revelation depicts a conquering Man riding a white horse and killing all His enemies with a sword coming out of his mouth. This rider is called Faithful and True. Jesus told His apostles that He will return a second time to fulfill this prophecy.
