Day 9 - God’s Equality
I love the fact that God is able to love us all equally. We can never say that God plays favorites because we are all His favorite!
If our earthly fathers overlook us unfairly, we can have peace in the fact that God does not. We are all on an equal playing field with each other due to our unity in Christ. Your ethnicity, gender, or social status do not play a factor in how God treats you.
God even warns us against playing favorites with each other since He knows we are prone to do it. It’s very easy for us to favor those with money or fame, and it’s definitely not uncommon for people to give preferential treatment to those they relate to most. God wants us to be like Him though, and He doesn’t play favorites.
God doesn’t even play favorites between the just and the unjust! He gives rain and sunlight to both.
About this Plan
Dads can be such important figures they seem almost larger than life, like superheroes. God gave us earthly fathers to be extensions of Him to provide protection, guidance, and love. When they don’t fulfill those expectations, it can cause deep wounding. This plan covers ways we can get healing from the wounds of a father.
