Discover God's Plan for Your Life!Sample
What is God’s perfect will for my life?
Yesterday, we talked about my friend Renaldo Wynn, who was seeking God for a plan for his transition out of the NFL (National Football League). He had a deep desire to serve God even more.
Do you want to serve God even more?
Didn’t Jesus pray, “‘O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will’” (Matthew 26:39, NKJV)? I think we all need to get to the crossroads of “nevertheless.” We all have plans for our lives. Our parents, pastors, and teachers have talked to us about relationships, goals, dreams, and aspirations. It’s normal to work hard to achieve great things in our lives, but at some point, we should ask the big question, “Lord, is this Your perfect will?”
Renaldo and I prayed about a good offer he’d received, but he wanted the perfect will of God. He called me a few days later and said that he had refused the offer because he just didn’t have peace about it. Wow, that took a lot of courage, so I prayed with even more fervor.
The Bible says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2, NKJV). I love that sentence: “then you’ll know the perfect will of God.”
If you focus on prayer and renewing your mind, you will find the will of God.
As we prayed, I had a strong impression: “Joe Gibbs will offer you something, and you will become like a son to him.” I shared the thought with Renaldo, and we both agreed to bring it to God in prayer. It didn’t take long for the Spirit to confirm the impression. Joe Gibbs called and offered him a place on his Game Plan for Life team. Renaldo accepted it and played a massive role in reaching men and kids with God’s game plan for their lives.
You can discover a perfect plan for you. Find a few trusted confidants to seek the Lord with you and pray for direction. I’m confident you will discover His will and live it in a dynamic way because you are a miracle.
