Walk Through The Bible 365 - AugustSample
The Power Of The Cross
Christ’s death on the cross was a once-and-for-all sacrifice for the sins of the world. As Jesus cried out from the cross "It is finished," the work of redemption has been completed now. All who trust in Jesus and his sacrificial death have their sins forgiven, and they become a new creation with the Spirit of God filling them. They now have the hope and assurance of eternal life with God. What a blessing! And all through that one sacrifice.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, we thank you for your sacrificial death on the cross of Calvary. We thank you that through your death, which was once for all, we have abundant life and eternal life. We thank you for the power of the cross. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
