HEAR THE ANGELS SINGING!
There were no video cameras or movie studios in Bethlehem that night. God didn’t put news of Jesus’ birth on his website. He sent a messenger from heaven.
It was cold and dark on the hillside near Bethlehem. The sheep huddled together. Their shepherds tried to keep warm by the fire and longed for the daylight. Suddenly the brightest light they had ever seen blazed over them all.
How did they feel?
Who was the messenger?
God knew how frightened the shepherds were. He always knows how we feel. There was no need to be afraid. The angel brought them good news! What was the message?
As soon as the angel finished speaking, the shepherds heard beautiful singing. A huge choir of angels was praising God. They were celebrating Jesus’ birthday!
