Made to Connect
Isn’t it wonderful to know that we are not designed or created to be alone? That our God who formed us knew from the onset that even though we are created good and perfect in His image, we can still do better with a partner or as part of a group.
The bible extensively covers many examples of purposeful, deeply rooted, and sincere relationships that portray what God’s kind of love really is. Isn’t it wonderful to know that loneliness and solitude are not God’s agenda for us?
We see the story of the friendship between Paul and Barnabas in today’s reading. Barnabas extended the hand of connection to a formerly acclaimed persecutor of the saints. He gave Paul a chance when others remained skeptical and aloof. Who can you give a chance today? How can you make sure that you are an active participant in God’s eternal agenda for building great relationships?
Prayer: Lord, I see how good and pleasant it is for us to have meaningful connections in our lives. Help me to find the ones that will make my journey one that delights Your heart. Amen.
