New Testament in a Year: JanuarySample

READ
Matthew 26:14-35
REFLECT
What do you think the Spirit is trying to teach or reveal to you in this reading?
How might this shape your identity as a follower of Jesus and the person God designed you to be? How might it change the world around you?
How do you categorize the actions of the woman anointing Jesus' feet with expensive perfume? Beautiful, criminal, wasteful, etc?
ENGAGE
Breathe - Take 4-10 deep breaths in and out. Hold them in your belly and release the air. As you do say a short prayer to God or recite a favorite verse.

About this Plan

This is part of a series that will take you through the entire New Testament in a year. Each month's plan covers a specific book(s). January completes Matthew, then focuses on Ephesians, Philippians, 2 Thessalonians, and 2 and 3 John. The plan is designed to be used with a small group of friends. Read the daily passage first, reflect on one or more questions, and try the engagement practice.
