DAY 4 OF 7

Day 4: So Faithful

God’s love for us runs so deep that sometimes it’s hard to understand how or why he would love us the way he does. His love for us has no limits and can never run out. I struggled to understand how even when I sin or go days without talking to God, he still cares for me so deeply. We can’t compare our God to humankind because no one can love or want us more than God. The fact that he loves us so much, means that he will never let us down and he remains true to every promise he has made to us! There’s no promise God has made over us that he won’t fulfill. That job he said is coming, he’ll stay true to that. That vision he gave you and said will come to pass, just wait on it, because it’s coming. I used to get upset over friends not fulfilling promises and flaking on me until I came to an understanding that mankind can never be 100% faithful; but, my father in heaven is and forever will be because it’s in His character (Deuteronomy 7:9).

Gods’ faithfulness is his love. You’re probably asking how these two things are linked but whilst we were yet sinners, God remained faithful enough to die for us. His biggest sacrifice and act of love demonstrated the consistency in his character. Even in our unfaithfulness He is still faithful. (2 Timothy 2:13). God is still faithful.

There are so many examples where God shows himself as consistently faithful in the Bible. These stories inspire me daily especially when I’m discouraged by life’s circumstances. A story that always reminds me of the goodness of God is the story of the Israelites. Even in their doubts, God showed his faithfulness by performing miracles, watching over them and providing for them. He fulfilled his promise to them by leading them to the land that was promised for them. Although throughout their journey they doubted and couldn’t see where they were heading, when they reached their destination and the promise came to pass, their faith was made stronger.

I want you to take a minute right now to think about how God has been faithful to you over the past few weeks, months, or years. Has he fulfilled his promises? Has he been there throughout your doubt and worry? Have you lacked anything?

Tip of the day:

Remember to have faith in a faithful God.

About this Plan

The Art of Submission

This plan seeks to unwrap what it truly means to submit to God and what that looks like for us as his children. The bible plan is inspired by Gospel singer, Uchenna’s new EP titled The Art Of Submission. The plan speaks on themes such as faith, trust, and God's love and how each of these plays a part in how we submit to his will for us.
