-The primary author of the Proverbs is David’s son, King Solomon the Wise.
-1 Kings records that Solomon wrote 3,000 proverbs, the book of Proverbs contains only around 800 of them.
-An important thing to remember when reading Proverbs is that they are not promises from God, rather instructions for how to try to live a Godly lifestyle.
