168, No More, No LessSample
Day #7 Prayer, the only way to save time if we are responsible
What is paradoxical with God is that He asks us to accomplish impossible things while doing simple things. It is our obedience and faith that trigger His favor and action.
"Neither by force nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord." (Zechariah 4:6)
Fulfilling things by the Spirit of the Lord means that in prayer we receive His strength, creativity, resources, provision, ideas, solutions, timing, strategies, peace.
I told you at the beginning of this reading plan that we cannot add "marbles of time" to our lives. We each have 168 hours a week. So it's up to us to decide to work a lot for little results or to depend entirely on God to see Him accomplish what we could never have done if we had devoted all our time to it. (Psalm 127)
Prayer does not serve to convince God to help us, nor does pity. Prayer is what allows us to receive His revelations, His secrets. Prayer by the Spirit, especially speaking in tongues, is what triggers divine downloads into our lives.
It is the Holy Spirit who asks the Father directly for what we need, even what we don't know exists.
Human thinking and human leadership tell us that to accomplish more, we must work harder. This way of thinking leads us to neglect the rest of our lives and to be unbalanced. I believe that to accomplish more, we must depend more on God, the work of the angels, and His Spirit. This dependence is activated when we spend time with Him in worship and prayer in spirit.
When I slow down to listen to God, He makes me speed up. It's a little bit like getting into an elevator and waiting.
When the doors open a few seconds later, dozens of floors up, we recognize that we were going much faster than we would have been if we were going up the stairs- yet we were doing nothing in the elevator.
When I stop, restless to enter into God's presence, He propels me by His Spirit where my own strength cannot take me.
I invite you to discover the audio guide 21 Days of Listening to God's voice. It is a prayer journey to learn to recognize God's voice. You can experience the first 5 days here.

About this Plan
168 is the number of hours that each human being has for a week. No more, no less. The Psalmist cried out, "Lord, teach us to count our days well!" In our fast-paced society, counting our HOURS has become vital. I invite you to reflect over the next few days on how to invest and allocate your time ACCORDING to GOD.
